Phenoms went live in FC 26 Ultimate Team on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 6 PM UK (10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 5 PM UTC). It's the fifth Festival of Football campaign in a row, sandwiched between Path to Glory and the Summer Stars finale. Team 1 was a single-drop of 40 special cards celebrating first-time World Cup participants — the kids who actually broke through in the 2026 tournament instead of the veterans from Path to Glory.
Team 2 is expected Friday, July 17, 2026 at 6 PM UK, one week after Team 1. Summer Stars closes the entire Festival of Football on July 24. That gives you a very specific 11-day window: do the current SBCs, farm Journey of Nations tokens, and hoard fodder before Summer Stars hits the market and everything gets pricier.
The full promo — Team 1 + Team 2 combined — runs alongside the Phenoms Evolution, the Iron Sentinel Evolution, Phenom Rising Evolution, and the current Journey of Nations "Les Bleus" objective. All of those feed into the same Phenoms package, so treat them as one connected campaign, not five separate side quests.
Team 1 is headlined by Lamine Yamal at 98 OVR RW — the highest-rated Phenoms card and, at time of writing, the highest-rated wing card in the entire FC 26 cycle. Behind him you get João Neves, Endrick, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, and Folarin Balogun all at 97 OVR. The 96 OVR band is stacked with Micky van de Ven, Nico O'Reilly, Arda Güler, Pau Cubarsí, and Elliot Anderson. Even the 93 OVR floor is meta-relevant thanks to fresh Bosman-friendly links to newly hyped Ghanaian and English youth talent.
97 OVR tier — the SBC/pack floor: João Neves (CM, Benfica), Endrick (ST, Palmeiras), Désiré Doué (LW, PSG), Bradley Barcola (LW, PSG), Folarin Balogun (ST, Monaco).
96 OVR tier — where the objective/token rewards land: Micky van de Ven (CB, PSV), Ismael Saibari (ST, Al-Hilal), Willian Pacho (CB, Eintracht Frankfurt), Nico O'Reilly (LB, Brighton), Arda Güler (CAM, Fenerbahçe), Yan Diomande (LW, ASEC Mimosas), Pau Cubarsí (CB, Barcelona), Brian Brobbey (ST, Ajax), Yasin Ayari (CM, Salzburg), Elliot Anderson (CDM, Nottingham Forest).
95 OVR tier: Malik Tillman, Zion Suzuki (GK), Ayyoub Bouaddi, Oscar Bobb, Valentín Barco, Nilson Angulo, Kerim Alajbegović, Gilberto Mora, Julio César Enciso, Rayan Cherki.
94 OVR tier: Caleb Yirenkyi, Paul Wanner, Luka Vušković, Renato Veiga, Aleksandar Pavlović, Guéla Doué, Ben Doak, El Hadji Malick Diouf.
93 OVR tier (Team 1 floor): Sidny Cabral, Noah Sadiki, Patrick Beach (GK), Kojo Peprah Oppong, Lucas Herrington, Luc De Fougerolles.
Three player SBCs went live with Team 1, plus the Phenoms Challenge 1 upgrade and the 90 Summer Tournament Historical Nations Upgrade. Rough fodder estimates below are based on early market prices — expect them to drop ~20% by day 5 as more players complete.
These three player SBCs share fodder ranges (mostly 84–86 gold rares), so the smart play is to do Ibrahim Mbaye first, keep the leftover 84s, then decide between Yıldız or Thiago based on your league. Don't do all three untradeable in one sitting — Team 2 SBCs drop July 17 and will need the same fodder tier.
Two live objective players are attached to the promo, both untradeable and both accessible without spending a single coin if you grind Rivals and Squad Battles.
Priority order: Les Bleus (highest OVR reward) → Better Late Than Never (guaranteed player pick) → A Star Is Born (Evolution gate) → Daily Dip (passive income).
Two Evolutions launched alongside the promo and both accept Phenoms cards as input:
None of the Phenoms Evolutions are usable on already-special cards, so the play is to save your untradeable base golds now while they're in packs. Don't waste a Phenom Rising slot on a card you already have an in-form of.
Festival of Football tokens carry over from Path to Glory into Phenoms. You earn tokens from Rivals wins, Squad Battles wins, completing Phenoms objectives (2 tokens each), and hitting the weekly Champs Play-in threshold. Current exchange rates (as of July 13):
The 50-token pick is the sharpest value. If you're an average WL player logging 10 Rivals wins a week plus daily objectives, you can realistically hit 100 tokens by the Team 2 drop.
Phenoms Store refreshes every Monday and Friday at 6 PM UK. The Team 1 pack pool refresh moves the 88+ and 92+ rare packs into a rotating discount slot for one 72-hour window. Season 9 Pass tier 30 (an untradeable Lamine Yamal 98 OVR) unlocks whenever you hit tier 30 — currently on average ~day 12 of a 35-day season if you play daily.
Big dates to circle in your calendar:
Two things to get done before Team 2 hits: fodder stockpile and untradeable inventory. Team 2 SBCs will almost certainly need 25× 84 rares and 15× 85 rares based on Team 1 requirement patterns. If you're not stockpiling right now, you're paying market on July 17.
Concrete prep checklist:
Now the awkward part: the three Phenoms SBCs together are ~5 squads and ~800K coins if you buy every fodder card at market. That's roughly 25 hours of grinding for average players, and about 6 hours if you throw coins at it. There's no shame in taking the shortcut — the Phenoms window closes hard on July 24 and untradeable 97 cards do not return during Summer Stars.
If you can only do one thing today, do Les Bleus. The 92 OVR French Journey of Nations card is genuinely useful into Summer Stars and TOTS follow-ups, and the objective closes on July 20. Everything else can wait 24–48h.
Priority stack:
Skip the 90+ Summer Tournament Historical Nations upgrade unless you're specifically chasing an icon — it's a coin sink with a low hit rate. The player SBCs are much sharper value if you want a guaranteed Phenoms card.
🎁 Stock up before Team 2 crashes Phenoms prices on July 17.
